Harry Potter and the Cursed Child experience a severe case of Nox!

A power cut plunged the West End production into complete darkness.
Last night was not the night for attending the production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. A power cut in the Soho area of central London left many theatregoers wishing they could perform the light creation spell Lumos.
Part two of the production had to be cancelled due to the power cut. Many audience members, who had seen the first part of the production earlier in the day, queued outside waiting to find out if the performance would resume and some even waited inside the auditorium in complete darkness.

Sadly it was not to be and the show was officially cancelled after a UK Power Networks spokesperson explained that they would not expect to have the power up and running again until 10:30 – 11:30 p.m that night.
Despite the obvious disappointment everyone would have felt. Audience members praised theatre staff during this period of uncertainty. Many took to Social Media about the ongoing situation where they told of how the staff were providing excellent customer service and regular updates on the unfortunate situation.

So far nothing has been announced on what will happen for all those affected. Approximately 150 people have been affected by the power cut. A spokesperson has come forward to explain that they are working towards a solution.
