From a fashion designer to a small boy who found his first love, the Oscars were big this year for Best Actor. It wasn’t an easy choice either.

The Oscars had a tough time with the Best Actor this category. How can we choose between the incredible actors lined up for this award? The performances were out of this world, and it isn’t exactly easy to pick a best one.

Here are the 2018 Oscar nominees for Best Actor, with the winner revealed at the bottom:

Timothée Chalamet, Call Me by Your Name: Playing Elio, a young boy spending the summer in Italy with his family, Chalamet’s character ends up falling in love with Oliver, a man who has come to stay with the family. It is a love story for the ages, and if you manage to come out of the film with a dry eye, you’re a lot more emotionally stable than the rest of us.

Daniel Day-Lewis, Phantom Thread: Reynolds Woodcock is a fashion designer who has quite the eye for a muse. In a movie that has a wild twist, Phantom Thread gives us beautiful dresses, an amazing love story, and a weird thing with mushrooms that you might not want to trust.

Daniel Kaluuya, Get Out: It’s the best movie of 2017 hands down. The tale focuses around a man trapped in a family who sends young, black men and women into “the sunken place.” It was surprisingly an incredible movie with such a great first performance from Daniel Kaluuya.

Gary Oldman, Darkest Hour: Winston Churchill had the darkest time as he prepared to go into battle in World War II. Oldman, who went under quite the transformation to play Churchill, gave the performance of a lifetime.

Denzel Washington, Roman J. Israel, Esq.: Let’s be honest, most have said that this movie isn’t great but Denzel Washington gives quite the performance. Roman J. Israel is a defense attorney in the Los Angeles crime scene and delivers an amazing depth to the character.
