Get a good look at how the Chocolatiers behind the Harry Potter Easter egg make the eggs.

We brought you the news yesterday that Chocolatiers in Manchester are making a Harry Potter Easter egg dubbed, “The Sorting Egg”, now we have a video showing how it is made.

The milk chocolate egg, accompanied with a chocolate dipped pretzel wand and wearing a sorting hat made of sugar paste has fast become the envy of many Harry Potter fans. Filled with milk chocolate callets and a scroll that announces what house you have been sorted into, the egg is available by collection only.

So for those of us who are not able to make the journey to Manchester, we remain jealous and unsatisfied at all of those who are able to land their hands on “The Sorting Egg”. Maybe you could show this to your local Chocolatier and ask them to make you a Sorting Egg…..

The behind the scenes video, put together by Manchester Evening News, allows you to see just how the Chocolatiers make the wonderful creations by going into the Chocolatiers workshop and showing how the Chocolate eggs are created.

Showing a batch of the Unicorn Easter egg designs being the made the method is pretty much the same for “The Sorting Egg”. You can really see how much effort and how much detail goes into creating each egg, which can take approximately two hours to make a batch of 18 eggs.
