Fashion icons exude the ultimate confidence. The Torrid and Project Runway Betty Boop collaboration can make any woman feel like the ultimate bombshell.

Certain characters are essentials parts of pop culture. Betty Boop is an iconic cartoon and an integral part of pop culture. Considered by some to be the first animated sex symbol, her curvaceous figure, doe eyes and innocent expression captivates both men and women. Reminiscent of a 1920s flapper, her outfits were revealing yet had a sense of innocence.

Wearing clothes that hug all her curves in the right way, Betty was and is the ultimate bombshell.

In this week’s episode of Project Runway All Stars, the designers were tasked to create a Hollywood chic outfit for the iconic animated character. The winning designer’s outfit would be sold on Torrid. Launched after the episode aired, the Torrid and Project Runway All Star designer Joshua McKinley collaboration lets any woman feel like an ultimate bombshell.

The capsule collection features looks for any occasion. From the elegant date night to a girls’ night out, the four looks are feminine and flattering. More importantly, any woman would feel confident showcasing her curves in each of the looks.

Directly from the Project Runway All Star show is the “I heart Betty” shirt. Joshua’s shirt design captured the playfulness of the Betty Boop character. It is fun, flirty and chic. While Torrid pairs it with jeans, this look could work with leggings, a cute skirt or even shorts. While not exactly the same as the shirt shown on Project Runway, this top is quite wearable for any woman.

From the four looks, the most versatile look is the a-line skirt with red kisses. A perfect outfit for Valentine’s Day, this design would be extremely flattering to wear. The playfulness doesn’t go too young. Torrid pairs it with a black top, but I would love to see a more tailored, crisp blouse. Either way, this look would be delightful for a casual night out.

The capsule collection’s red dress definitely targets the bombshell category. While not revealing, the fit of the dress is quite sexy. Hugging curves in all the right ways, the dress should give any woman a huge confidence boost. The bright red color is flattering on all skin tones, too. If this dress doesn’t get people’s attention, they must be blind.

Many of these pieces can be worn in conjunction with other pieces from a woman’s closet. The white and red A-line skirt could work with a variety of tops. The I heart Betty shirt is easily paired with your favorite leggings. Adding a little flair with looks from this capsule collection can be a fun way to let a little bombshell persona sneak out.
