Game of Thrones season 8 spoilers: Some suspicions

The latest Game of Thrones season 8 spoilers suggest that something may be going down for a few characters, but what exactly does it all mean?

Warning: Game of Thrones season 8 is in production, and if you don’t want to know anything more than that, then you may not want to scroll down.

Some new faces have apparently shown up for Game of Thrones season 8, according to our sister site, Winter is Coming and ultimately Los Siete Reinos. Well, more accurately, it’s said to be some unfamiliar faces and ones that we recognize more.

Unfortunately, who exactly those unfamiliar faces are is a mystery as yet. All that LSR has for us is that they’re women, leading the site to conclude it’s not anything particularly big scene-wise. WiC then rounds up more of who’s where, and a little photo with Daniel Portman sparks an idea.

A bunch of women … Podrick Payne, Davos Seaworth and Gendry …

Okay, we can’t be the only ones thinking that it’s possible there’s a scene with some camp followers or otherwise involving Podrick’s infamous … talents … with women, right? There are a lot of reasons that those three characters might be together in a scene, but that detail sticks out, as LSR itself points out.

Granted, as WiC notes, we’re not even sure that they’re in a scene together, but it seems likely. It’s just the detail about the women that makes us suspect that something else is going on. In one respect, this is likely a good way to inject some comic relief into what promises to be a dark season on the whole. Davos does plenty of that, character-wise, in season 7 already. He’s really the outlying character here, unless he ends up walking in on something?

It’s hard not to suspect that this might be an early scene, given a recently published video from Rolling Stone (and a tip of the hat to io9) that has Liam Cunningham talking about the state of the scripts, but we need a lot more context before we can definitively say what’s going on.

Ah, Game of Thrones. There are so many mysteries to solve, and so much time in which to solve them. After all, Cunningham’s already joked that this production time is quite long.
