Hogwarts in the Snow: Harry Potter fans step into the iconic holiday scenes
For Harry Potter fans, a glimpse into the Wizarding World brings the stories into reality. Hogwarts in the Snow brings the holiday magic to the fans.
Even though Harry Potter and his friends have long since left the iconic Hogwarts and the Wizarding World, fans still seek ways to interact with the characters and the infamous story lines. Even though magic weaves its presence all 365 days of the year, the holidays are even more special in the Harry Potter world. The Hogwarts in the Snow special event is a perfect getaway for the ultimate fan.
Looking back at the Harry Potter books and movies, the holidays were a grand spectacle. From snow that never melted to outlandish decorations, the holiday scenes were bolder than anyone’s impressive imagination. While Universal Studios used projection to create an impressive Harry Potter holiday presentation, the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London’s Hogwarts in the Snow is the ultimate Harry Potter fan’s holiday destination.
Now through Jan. 28, 2018, visitors to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London will see famous scenes transformed into a holiday spectacular. Specifically, the Great Hall Stage will be set for the Yule Ball. As dripping silver icicles line the walls, guests can almost hear the music of the festivities. While a ball gown isn’t required, the prop masters have taken care of every minute detail. Even the most ardent Harry Potter fan will approve.
Other set areas have gotten a holiday transformation as well. The Gryffindor Common Room and Boys’ Dormitory will feature several props. A few items to look for are handmade Christmas cards. Some cast members personally made these cards during the film production.
Even though snow isn’t common in England, in the Harry Potter world, snow falls during the holiday season. Throughout the tour, as well as the film production, the magicians made several types of snow. During the tour, guests can learn how each type of snow, from floating flurries to glisten ice, was made. Maybe they can even bring a little of this Harry Potter magic back home.

Lastly, for the ultimate Harry Potter holiday experience, fans can book Dinner in the Great Hall. From Dec. 11 through Dec. 13, fans can enjoy a holiday feast in the Wizarding World. Upon arrival, guests will enjoy canapes as they explore the holiday decorations around the Great Hall. Then, a two course Christmas feast will be served. Finally, guests will enjoy dessert at Platform 9 ¾. This holiday feast celebration could make a special gift for the ultimate Harry Potter fan.
