Target Black Friday ad 2017: Best deals

facebooktwitterreddit

Target’s Black Friday sale ad has both goodies for gifts and for any parties that you may or may not be hosting — and lots of media, too.

Target’s ubiquity in pop culture — seriously, how many Target memes are there? — is at least partially earned by its commercials, but its Black Friday deals also probably help. (Well, okay, Target’s sales in general. But still, this is a certain time of year, and it’s the time of year where stores get more than a little bonkers with the prices.)

So, what does Target have in store for everyone who passes through the doors of its stores either on Thanksgiving night or on Black Friday itself? The ad is already out, but we’ve sifted through and found the best things to grab.

First up, hidden away on the very last page is possibly the best deal of them all. Not only will Target have Hatchimals on sale for $54.99, you’ll pick up a $20 gift card to use later. While it’s not the biggest discount ever — only about $5 — the gift card is what makes up for it. Split your Black Friday order up and use the gift card right away if you want, or keep it to put together with the other big promotion, where if you spend $50 on Black Friday, you’ll get a 20% coupon good starting on Nov. 28. Stacking things together is how to make that holiday budget really stretch.

But for the older kids in your life, you’ll be able to pick up movies and music, including the first seasons of Riverdale and Stranger Things for $10 apiece, recent Disney movies for $15, and Target’s exclusive version of Taylor Swift’s reputation (though your Swiftie might already have both versions — check first).

If you need some fresh tech, getting in on Amazon’s Echo ecosystem will only run you $79.99 for the Echo, $179.99 for the Echo Show, and $29.99 for the Echo Dot. Indeed, there are a lot of smart tech devices available to fit all sorts of budgets.

And finally, if you want to avoid the crowds, those who have a REDCard can go shopping online starting on Nov. 22. Unfortunately, which items are on sale aren’t known as of this writing. Target’s page says we’ll find out on Nov. 22 itself.
