Did Taylor Swift recently work with her longtime friend Selena Gomez on a new song? According to a new report, a recent post on Twitter may hint at such news.
On November 5, Scott Borchetta, the CEO of Swift’s record label, Big Machine, tweeted about Swift’s Reputation commercial for Target and in his tweet, the man who is arguably responsible for Swift’s entire career, suspiciously tagged the “Bad Liar” singer.
What did Scott Borchetta tweet about Selena Gomez?
While it is perfectly understandable that Borchetta tagged Big Machine in his post, his decision to include Gomez in his tweet has sent tons of fans of Swift and Gomez into a tailspin as they attempt to figure out whether or not a collaboration between the women will be featured on Reputation.
As the speculation continues, however, Borchetta has maintained his silence online, failing to explain Gomez’s potential role on Swift’s upcoming album.
Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez have been rumored to be collaborating in the past
Ever since fans noticed that the two singers were friends, they’ve been waiting on the edge of their seats to hear if they will team up on a new song and in 2015, a source hinted that they could be planning something for the future.
“Selena and Taylor talk about music all the time. It wouldn’t surprise me if they collaborate on something soon,” an insider told Hollywood Life in 2015.
Although there have been no answers given in recent days in regard to their potential collaboration, fans will no for sure when Swift’s album is released on November 10.
