Harry Potter never really looked like himself in the movies

He should have had hair standing up at odd ends and green eyes yet Harry Potter didn’t really have either in the movies. And that’s not great.

Look, I’ll be the first to say it that Harry Potter did not look like himself throughout most of the movies. The only film that truly got it right was Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Harry’s described as having unruly hair that would never lay flat.

So what happens in the first movie? He has a bowl cut. Okay, not at all accurate. Second movie is more of the same and then finally, the third movie. It’s a bit more promising. But then we’re right back to hair that makes zero sense for how the character is described.

I get it, everything can’t be perfect, but his look is iconic. He’s supposed to have straight up hair so you can actually see his scar. But the movies were like “oh no everyone can miraculously see his scar through these dumb bangs he has”.

Honestly, I think that we like to pick at things and not because we’re upset with it. We just want our favorite series to be perfect. And now that it has been over for quite some time, we want to make sure the legacy lives on in a good way.

And that legacy is making sure everyone knows that we, as fans of the Harry Potter series, were not happy when his hair was nothing like the books. I just wanted one scene of Molly Weasley trying to cut his hair and it growing right back and sticking straight up.

Instead, we got weird Spock bowl cuts that we’re supposed to just accept as what Harry’s hair looked like. It’s like they never even looked at the illustrations to see that never did Harry’s hair do that.
