Don’t let the title fool you. Taylor Swift has always been on the rise to world domination but with a new era underway and award nominations already coming in, we can already tell you that Taylor Swift is about to dominate once again just like she did in her previous 1989 era.

Ever since mid-August and the release of her cryptic new single “Look What You Made Me Do,” Swift has been taking over everything from headlines to charts to breaking records all without making a sound or doing a single interview. Only Taylor Swift shatter every record she’s already broken. Only Taylor Swift can beat Taylor Swift at her own game. She’s the most famous pop star in the world, has managed to stay humble and is getting ready for another world domination with a new album that’s about to drop.

Reputation. It’s an album that we had no idea we want or what we expected. The media is dying to see what they can annoyingly write about next and the most dedicated fans in the world are counting down the days until they can dive into new lyrical content and fall in love with every word.  It’s an era that we never knew we wanted but now that it’s almost here, we can’t wait to have it.

Swift has only released one single and one promo track and is already breaking records, topping charts, and leading in nominations. Reputation won’t be eligible for a Grammy until 2019, which means we are in this Swift world dominance for the long haul. Are we really complaining? No. We know Swift will dominate the Grammy’s just like she is everything else right now. There’s no question about it.

She is the only artist who takes over before an album is released. She is the only artist who has a long list of songs that are so brilliantly penned that we can’t imagine how lyrically profound this next album will be. Taylor Swift is in a league of her own. No genre or chart position can fit her mold of what she can do as a person, an artist, and businesswoman. No one can reach her potential. No one could even try, even if they wanted to.

If you don’t believe that Swift is already taking over once again. Here are the numbers and the numbers don’t lie. On August 25, Swift dropped her lead single “Look What You Made Me Do” and a lyric video to follow. The lyric video breaks a record previously held by The Chainsmokers and Coldplay for “Something Like This” with an initial 19 million views. The video has now surpassed more than 48 million views.

On August 27, the songstress debuted the music video via VMA Awards. Although nominated, Swift did not make an appearance and allowed her music to speak for itself. After its premiere, the video was released to YouTube immediately after and followed the success of the lyric video. It broke the 24-hour record and garnered more than 43.2 million views in its first day. This makes the music video the most watch music video in a 24-hour span. It surpassed Adele’s “Hello,” which garnered 27.7 million views. The video now has over 500 million views, making it the first video to do so during press time.

It’s broken records from Spotify to breaking Hot 100’s No.1 record since Adele’s “Hello”. Not to mention, the track has already hit platinum status in the U.K, Australia, Canada and the U..S. And with that, after the opening track for the album entitled “…Ready For It?” Swift was competing with herself. “…Ready For It?” and “Look What You Made Me Do” are still sitting next to each other on the iTunes charts and have been competing with each other on the Billboard charts. With this much success, who’s to say how success reputation will be. After all, Target announced in September that the album has already garnered the spot for the highest presale ever in Target history. So, yes, we think it’s safe to say reputation could be as successful or more successful than 1989.

World domination isn’t an easy task but Swift makes it look easy. No other artist can come close to mastering the success that the 27-year old has in a span of 10 years. She’s a legend and she’s only going to become more famous as the years go on. Even if you don’t want reputation to be successful, you’re out of luck because it already is.

This is Taylor Swift’s world and we’re all just living in it.

Swift’s sixth studio album reputation is set to hit stores and streaming services everywhere on November 10
