Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’s first page of dialogue gets creepy right away

Although it’s not entirely set in stone just yet, it looks like the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina series will be all hers from the word go.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina as a TV series is moving right along, it looks like. In fact, Archie Comics’ ever-helpful Twitter account confirmed that the first episode is already in the works.

There’s still no casting news, but with the help of a zoom button, it’s possible to pick out some details. Before we dive in, though, here’s a caveat: we’re still in the very early stages of this show. As reported in the initial announcement, the first season isn’t planned to arrive until next year anyway.

Check out that page!

If you zoom in, though, you can make out that this page is from scene 1, and is dated Sept. 25, 2017.

The top of the page reads:

"EXT. GREENDALE WOODS — NIGHTSABRINA has brought her boyfriend HARVEY to a clearing in the dark woods. The moon shines down on them."

Very atmospheric already, which is good. Additionally, if you zoom in, you can see that the scene is actually about Sabrina telling Harvey that she can’t go to a party because she’s going to be “reborn” the next Saturday, which just so happens to be her 16th birthday. Although Harvey doesn’t get why, everyone will presumably yell “because she’s a witch, Harvey!” at the screen … or at least I will.

Presumably, after the title card rolls, Sabrina will explain more of this to him. Speaking of, hey, Harvey! Good to see that Sabrina’s all-human boyfriend is getting a role. If you scroll down, you can even see that he’s supposed to be “hunky.” No description of what he’s supposed to look like, though; ditto with Sabrina. That’s not a negative, though. Presumably, production is still looking for their actors.

Since this is just one page, it’s impossible to make a judgment call on the quality of this series — but it looks like it could be going in the right direction.
