J.K Rowling and the candle that tried to burn her

You know when you forget a candle is lit and it explodes? Well, J.K Rowling apparently did and suddenly her book got a lot scarier.

J.K Rowling has had a lots of twists and turns in her life. From her own career to her actual work, she always leaves us shocked, scared and wanting more. Well, that’s kind of what this candle did to her.

As she was working on another novel for the Cormoran Strike series, Rowling was so lost in her work that she simply forgot she had the candle burning. So to remind her that she was going to burn down everything she worked for, the candle decided to promptly explode.

So of course the internet had to make sure that Rowling knew that she burned the candle down too much. As if the author didn’t know what could and could not explode. (She did write the character Seamus. Maybe as a reflection of herself?)

But more than that, Rowling wanted us to know exactly why she had the candle burning in the first place. And beware, it is a pretty classy reason.

What’s interesting is that instead of either fighting the trolls or saying it wasn’t her fault, all Rowling does is say that she did it and it is her fault and who cares. Which I love. She spends so much time nowadays fighting people on the internet, it is nice to see her just have a fun interaction.

Even if a candle did have to die in order for it to happen.

The ever amazing author of the Harry Potter series proves again and again how amazing she is. But maybe don’t trust her with explosives nearby. Especially if they’re candles. She’s deadly with those.
