Fresh off her awesome summer and the success of Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot heads to Saturday Night Live to show the world how funny she is and host in October.
Saturday Night Live, which just picked up an entire slew of Emmys last Sunday, is getting ready to put the band back together and start the new season. Ahead of its premiere on Sept. 30, Saturday Night Live gave us a look at its first three hosts. Of course, we all knew that Ryan Gosling and Jay-Z picked up premiere night. But it looks like the week after will be even more exciting.
As you can see from the tweet above, Gal Gadot will host on Oct. 7. While we all know that Gadot is a fierce and wonderful actress, some people may not realize how funny she can be, too. Perhaps, folks don’t even realize that Gadot and her co-star Chris Pine improved a couple of scenes. Though, if you really need an idea, check out the blooper reel for Wonder Woman and just bask in the laughter.
Now, if you’re not a Saturday Night Live fan, you may not be familiar with the way the show goes. Like, expect Gadot to wear a few silly costumes or two, and probably even make a few self-aware jokes, whether about herself or Wonder Woman in general. To round out the music portion of the evening, Sam Smith will appear … to sing. (Who is Sam Smith? Someone help.)
The following week, The Big Sick and Silicon Valley star Kumail Nanjiani will host with P!nk appearing as his guest musician.

The most exciting news is that Gal Gadot will get more exposure. Obviously, we don’t want the DCEU to be the only work she gets — she did Keeping Up With The Joneses and came from Fast and the Furious. But the more (good) work she gets, the more we get to see her. I mean, Wonder Woman 2 doesn’t come out until 2019, so gotta get your fix somewhere.
