All the “good” looks

He made an inverse look to Shawn’s edgy look. His model floats like a princess and his light color palette is wonderful.

Aaron – Bottom

Aaron looked like he’d be out before his model even walked down the runway. She looked like a pink streamer pinata. If I was in charge, I wouldn’t have even let her walk because her dress looked like it would fall off halfway through.

Everyone thinks it’s an unfinished mess. Dove used the word “streamers,” too. I’m beginning to think I’d make a pretty good Project Runway judge.

We’ve seen it before. The color patterns, the flowy cut and even the tied loops seem like the same outfit he made for Liris a few episodes before. (Sidenote: Liris is the best model and knows how to work the runway.)

Heidi thinks it’s the modern straight-jacket but loves it. So do Dove, China and Nina Garcia. Zac likes the color palette but notes that Brandon needs to do something different soon.

Her design is what we’d get if Barbie and Lady Liberty made a baby who was a fashion designer. It’s shiny, but that pink really throws me off.

Claire – Bottom

Girly, boring. I don’t even remember it.

Zac says it’s boring; Nina says cliché. Dove says a critique that I don’t understand, then Heidi echoes my concern above because it’s not very memorable. “It looks like a princess who had her credit card taken away from her,” Zac finishes.

Ayana – Safe

It’s the tricolor giraffe and sewn well enough that she’s safe.

Thanks to his fresh and new perspective in fashion, Heidi awards the win and immunity to Brandon for next week. Because Aaron’s look seemed incomplete, Heidi questions whether he’s ready for Project Runway and sends him home. This week, Claire and Samantha skate by, but Claire’s lack of humility makes her all the more unlikable.
