What houses would the characters from Star Trek the original series be in?

When it comes to Star Trek, the characters from the original series are iconic. But where would they fit in the Hogwarts houses?

Star Trek has been around for over fifty years. It is a dedicated fanbase and, much like Harry Potter fans, it has a system with which to categorize its characters (and fans) into. With Trek, it is the three colors of the shirts. Red (communications), Blue (sciences), and Yellow (command) are worn proudly by the characters and their fans.

So it had me thinking, what houses would our favorite characters from the original series fall into? Well, I did the best I could at trying to place them in the four houses of Hogwarts.

James T. Kirk

He is a Gryffindor. And yes, there is some debate because the alternate universe Kirk (or Pine’s Kirk) has some Slytherin like qualities, he is still a Gryffindor. He’s just a mix of the type of Gryffindors Harry and Hermione are.

Uhura (Original Series)

The original series Uhura is definitely a Ravenclaw. Her intelligence continually saves them in a pinch and she works hard to be the best chief communications officer she can be.

Uhura (Alternate Universe)

Now the alternate universe Uhura is a little different. While still a bit of a Ravenclaw, she is much more like a Slytherin in these movies. She is determined to get what she wants, and that includes using her relationship with Spock to get her onto the Enterprise.

Spock

Come on. He’s a Ravenclaw. Do I even have to explain this one?

Bones

Personally, I think Bones would force himself into being a squib (or I suppose he’d be an Obscurus then) because he’d be too afraid to use his magic but would want to be a part of the magical community and help out when he could. Which is basically what Bones does for Starfleet anyway. He hates space. Yet there he is.

Scotty

Montgomery Scott is an interesting one. While he is brave and intelligent, he is also a little sneaky and very loyal. So really, I feel like he could potentially fit into any house. But maybe he’s just a Hufflepuff.

Sulu

A fearless Gryffindor, Sulu is a master of all trades and one to constantly surprise us. And he isn’t afraid to do what is necessary to help the crew of the Enterprise. Even if that means dropping a ship to uncertain death because he’s not sure if it will fly or not.

Chekov

Sweet Chekov is a Hufflepuff. He just wants to do well and he’s a very good finder. Particularly when it is a falling Captain Kirk.
