To bank on the success of one of its most successful seasons yet, HBO unleashed Game Revealed, a seven-part series going behind the scenes of Game of Thrones season 7.
After Sunday night’s crazy long and just plain crazy season 7 finale, Game of Thrones has gone off the air for a long time again. (Even if it’s just a year, it feels like an eternity.) And once it returns, it’ll only return with six episodes before Game of Thrones is gone forever.
However, HBO still has some surprises in store. In addition to delivering an action-packed season 7, new Game of Thrones content will still air on HBO for a few more weeks. Well, sort of. While the episodes won’t be an hour-long or anything, we’ll be able to relive a few more of our favorite scenes.
The seven-part series entitled Game Revealed will give us about 10-15 minutes of behind-the-scenes content breaking down episode by episode. Every Monday, new episodes will become available on HBO. But just for fun, HBO uploaded the first episode to YouTube and kept it free for everyone.
Check out some of the gems included below:
Game of Thrones season 7 became a monumental season because it put several main characters all in the same place for once. And as you can see in the video above, that made for a lot of fun times on set.
But the video also showed us what it took for the production team to create a giant White Walker. As you can imagine, it’s a really meticulous task. Although, I’m more interested in just tuning into what Lena Headey says when she’s not masterfully bringing Cersei Lannister to life. I know that actors aren’t really their characters, but I mean, she’s just so good.
Next: When does Game of Thrones season 8 premiere?
Game Revealed‘s first episode was only about 14 minutes long as it broke down “Dragonstone.” But seeing just how much Game of Thrones uses green screen really blew my mind.
New episodes will be available on HBO’s Game of Thrones site every Monday.
