Want to live in Harry Potter’s house where he was born?

Has it been your dream to live in the Godric’s Hollow? Specifically, in the house shown in the Deathly Hallows Part 2 movie?

Well, now you can, because the house is back on the market! The De Vere House, as it’s called by muggles, in Lavenham, Suffolk, is being sold as “historically significant property”. They have no idea how significant.

You can sleep in baby Harry’s room! You can cosplay Snape running in and sobbing over Lily’s body while Harry stays there! Feeling evil? Get out your inner Voldemort and run through the house screaming ‘Avada Kedavra’!

For only 995,000 pounds or 201, 866 galleons* (Yes, there is a money converter!) for wizarding folk, you can live in this six bedroom period house.

However, you can only buy this house if you name your first born Harry. Doesn’t matter the gender, or if you already have a first born, you must call them Harry. I’m sure it’s a clause in the contract. If not, it must be.

Truly though, even though it’s likely we have no idea what it looks like inside because the bedrooms were probably movie sets, you can still live in part of the Harry Potter movies. Who wouldn’t want that for your children? Sure it’s a little on the expensive side but think of all the possibilities.

*However, the realtors (Magic or Muggle) are not liable if a noseless wizard comes into your house during the night to kill your child because of a war.

(See? I know how to sell a house. BBC, you can call me.)

Look! there’s a great fireplace for you to use your floo powder to get to Diagon Alley, the Ministry of Magic, or any place in the wizarding world you desire!

There’s also stairs! I wonder if there’s a place under the stairs for your child you don’t want to live in? I’m sure you can put one in.

If you’re a Royal History buff, the house also has Royal History attached to it as well. I don’t think there’s anything more British than this house.

Next: We're not quite ready to forgive and forget, Snape

If by chance anyone buys this house, please let me know. I would love to say that a Harry Potter fan site sold someone a house.
