Is it time for a new look? If you’re in need for a new do, then check out what Hogwart’s has to offer! These wizard hairstyles will have you runway ready!

Hairstyles in the Harry Potter world can make or break a character and we’re looking at our favorite ones!

Gilderoy Lockhart

Let’s start with a wizard that puts his hair as priority number one! Lockhart feels that hairstyles show a person’s true character. Of course, he was also a pretty horrible wizard, but who are we to judge? So if you are willing to put more into your hair than your education, Gilderoy’s style is the way to go!

You must have a bit of length in order for this look to work for you. When you have that, just give it a little wave and add your body weight in hair care products. That should get you the desired effect.

Severus Snape

Let’s go to the other end of the spectrum. If your hair is the absolute last item on your list of things you give a crap about, Snape’s style is the one for you. It requires little to no work, and shows everyone your deep and dark soul at the same time. If that’s what your looking to accomplish, Snape is your man.

It’s preferable for you to already have hair as black as your soul, but feel free to dye it as well. It should work just the same. If not, who really cares? Next, let it grow out as long as you want. To the ears, to the shoulders, whatever. It doesn’t matter. The next part is very important. Do not wash your hair. Ever. If you do, the whole look will be ruined.

Minerva McGonagall

If you’re going for a professional look, you can’t get anymore professional than McGonagall. Her hairstyle is really what helps her exude confidence and a strict policy of no nonsense. None of the first year students have to take more then one look at her to know foolishness will not be tolerated. But there is also a subtle softness to not only the hairstyle, but to Minerva herself.

To accomplish this look, it’s preferable to have long hair. Streaks of gray are purely optional, but if you have them, you will exude more of an air of authority. Pull your hair tightly to the back of your head. Put it into an extremely tight bun and be sure it’s properly pinned in place. You wouldn’t want any stray pieces to fall out.

Draco Malfoy

Now, although his personality leaves quite a bit to be desired, you cannot deny that Malfoy has pretty nice hair. Even the bleached blonde color suits the otherwise dark boy. There have been multiple moments where many have questioned why the young Malfoy’s hair isn’t black as tar. But maybe the almost white color speaks to the small amount of good in him. Before we get too sappy, if you have goodness inside you that others tend not to see, this may be the look for you.

There are a few options here you can go with, but the nonnegotiable part is that your hair must be a white-blonde. That is an absolute must. Now, the options are that you can have your hair a bit longer and just slick it straight back and down your collar. Or, you can go fairly short with just a few locks to perfectly hang over an eyebrow. There is a third option still though, a length between the other two. Just give yourself a part off to the side and let the rest of the hair ride.
