Great Harry Potter pets, even if they are a bit unconventional!
We all love pets! Even witches and wizards! Here are some of the best pets of Harry Potter! Be warned, they are a tad bit unconventional.
Some of the pets in the Harry Potter universe sure are interesting and we’re looking at them all!
Crup
Let’s ease into the strange by starting off with an almost normal animal. When you see a Crup, you almost feel as though you are looking at your typical Jack Russell Terrier. But, the Crup just has one slight difference. He has a forked tail. Fortunately, for anyone interested in having a Crup in Muggle company, you can easily remove the extra bit.
Kneazle
A little more into the weird, and yet still slightly normal, is the Kneazle. It looks as though it is just a normal cat, but appearances can be deceiving. This special cat is able to sense whether people are trustworthy. It can also guide it’s owner home no matter how far away they get. But beware, a full Kneazle tends to be extra violent towards Muggles. Better to mix breed them with your everyday cat to solve that.
Niffler
Who doesn’t want a Niffler? Besides someone who would like to keep their home in one piece? They are typically very loyal and tend to be cuddly, especially to their owners. And as an added bonus, they are attracted to anything that glitters or shines! This could lead you to some treasures! But taking them to a jewelry store or any other type of place that readily displays glittery and fragile things is probably a bad idea. This will more than likely result in disaster. But hey, at least they’re cute!
Puffskein
Literally a ball of fur with eyes, a nose, and a mouth! I don’t think you could ask for anything more! But there is more! Not only do Puffskein’s like being cuddled, but they also enjoy being thrown around! They do have a tendency to stick their exceptionally long tongues up sleeping wizard’s noses and eat their boogers. But, most people could definitely see that as an added bonus instead of an annoyance! Besides, their cuteness more than makes up for that!
Demiguise
A beautiful creature that resembles a long haired chimp, the Demiguise are useful and make great pets. Not only can they predict the future, but they can also make themselves invisible. Theirhair is what creates invisibility cloaks, so you can imagine how many people would like to have one for that reason. But if you think it’s an easy thing to grab one for, you would be mistaken. You would have to do something extremely surprising, as otherwise they will be able to know about it.

Bowtruckle
The Bowtruckle is a personal favorite of mine. A plant looking being with arms, legs and a face, Bowtruckles are extremely difficult to spot. They live within trees and are experts at making themselves go unseen. They are generally very peaceful and also tend to be quite loyal to anyone who takes care of them. But don’t mistake their size and tranquility for weakness, they can easily defend themselves against anyone who tries to harm them or their home. You can take it’s useful leaves as long as you offer it something as a distraction. Wood lice and fairy eggs tend to do the trick.
