Taylor Swift may not see her longtime bestie Selena Gomez as much as she used to but that doesn’t mean they aren’t in touch.

In fact, following Swift’s supportive Instagram post for Selena Gomez on July 14, an insider claims they are doing their best to remain close throughout the distance they have endured in recent months.

“Taylor has Selena’s back 100% they will always be besties. But life has a way of putting distance between even the best of friends. Truth is, Taylor and Selena don’t talk as much as they would like to, but the longtime friends are still close and give each other advice all the time,” a music industry source told Hollywood Life on July 12.

For the past several months, Swift has been splitting her time from the U.S. and London as she enjoys her new romance with actor Joe Alwyn. Luckily, she has Gomez to turn to if she ever needs relationship advice.

“When they do check in with each other, Taylor appreciates Selena’s opinion on guys and love, while Selena likes to hear what Taylor thinks too. Selena shares with Taylor everything in her love life. She is also alway bouncing studio ideas off of Taylor, who loves to swap creative ideas with Selena,” the insider continued.

Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez may soon embark on a  double date

“The last year has been super busy for the friends between work, traveling, dating and spending time in the studio, they haven’t had much quality time in person. But that doesn’t mean that they haven’t stayed connected,” the insider added. “Selena is looking forward to Taylor dropping new music and the pair also hope to get their guys together for a romantic double date soon!”

As fans my know, Gomez has been dating The Weeknd for the past several months.
