Real Housewives of Orange County: what to expect from season 12

The Real Housewives of Orange County is back with Season 12 on Mondays 9/8c. The July 10th premiere gave us a glimpse at what to expect: bibles, babies, and boyfriends.

The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 12 is a gift that will keep on giving all season long. I have held these Bravo ladies near and dear to my heart from the beginning. Between facelifts, wine parties, wine tours, wine-in-face moments, new businesses, marriages, bathtub scenes, and vacations, I’ve been whooping it up from day one. Here’s what to expect this season from our favorite Orange County ladies.

This season will forever be remembered for having the absolute worst taglines. How did any of them get approved? Ok, let’s take a look at the first episode for each women individually.

Vicki Gunvalson

The original O.G. of the O.C. is still doing what she does best: Coto Insurance!  Vicki starts off the season in her office, obviously. This season we will watch her move into a bigger office and work to “leave a legacy” for her children. It looks like we’ll also being seeing more of her newish boyfriend, Steve, because Steve isn’t Brooks. Will Brooks be back? I have a feeling the answer is yes. Brianna continues to live in the O.C. after abandoning her husband in Oklahoma, and Vicki likes to consider herself Brianna’s “husband” for the time being. Reality television is such a blessing.

Tamra Judge

Tamra opens with a bible study trip at Lydia’s, so it’s confirmed she’ll be doing the holy thing for yet another season. It wouldn’t be a Housewives episode without Eddie watching Tamra workout with her hair down. I expect we’ll see tastes of that all season long. Rumors about Eddie being gay are still floating around in the O.C. and are previewed to be a big theme this season.

Meghan King Edmonds

Meghan finally had the baby she never stopped talking about last season! Jimmy is *SHOCKER* a hands on dad to the Aspen! We are so fortunate to get a glimpse into his awesome parenting and to know he’ll be around all season long defying odds by being a guy into sports who ALSO changes diapers! Swoon! Previews show Megan gets criticized for her mothering skills, or lack thereof, and then lots of tears happen.

Kelly Dodd

Author’s favorite right here! Kelly is one of the most polarizing additions to the franchise to date and many are surprised she was invited back for a second season. This fact only makes me adore her even more. She and Vicki are still a drunken team fighting “popular girl” crime against Shannon and Tamra. Alcohol and her marriage, staples of last season, are expected to continue getting air-time drama this season.

Lydia McLaughlin

Lydia! I truly never missed her! Pot-smoking mom? Check. Bible Study? Check. Sparkle? Check, check. Although Lydia has yet to meet some of the girls, previews hint at a tumultuous relationship with Shannon. Lydia seems to want to dedicate this season to getting Tamra and Vicki back together. I have my doubts, but I know Lydia is praying on it.

Shannon Beador

Is there anything better than Shannon Beador? I respect her choice to share her struggle with weight gain minutes into episode one, which she makes clear will be a season-long storyline. Shannon’s openness and honesty has us all rooting for her to come out on top. Her marriage to David and the affair that almost ended their relationship continues to be a topic of pain for the Beador family. Drama with Vicki still plagues her and I can’t wait to watch it unfold every Monday.

Bye, Heather. Hey Peggy.

We would be remiss to not mention Heather Dubrow’s very appreciated absence this season. In Fancy Pants’ place is Peggy Sulahian. Peggy hasn’t made her debut yet, but from the looks of it, she lives for cars and diamonds. Tune in every Monday on Bravo at 9/8c.
