Taylor Swift’s Album Photoshoots Ranked
By Kara Johnson
Taylor Swift has some of the best album photoshoots in today’s world. They’re classy, creative, and work great your own photoshoot ideas. Swift is the queen of a lot, and photoshoots are no exception to that rule.
The emotion captured in the Red photoshoot is different than what was captured in the Fearless photoshoot. Each photo tells a story, which, not to our surprise, is something Swift has mastered in every aspect of her art.
Every era in Swift’ universe is magical, wonderful, and sometimes painful but we all live through it and are better for it at the end. We grew up watching Swift create beautiful art, and wondering what her next album artwork will look like. We’re always on the edge of our seats, even now as we await the announcement of TS6. But, while we are still waiting, we thought we’d give a definitive ranking of each of Swift’s album photoshoots from our least favorite to the one we’re obsessed with.
Continue to below to see the ranking and make sure to let us know what your favorite photoshoot is in the comments below or tweeting us at @FansofTaylorFS
Taylor Swift / 2006
We love this photoshoot. We can’t help but miss Swift’s curly long hair and her signature cowboy boots. It was definitely a wonderful introduction to our favorite country singer turned pop queen. While we love these photos, they are ultimately ranked the lowest on the best photoshoot scale.
Fearless / 2008
The Fearless photoshoot was so incredible as it captured so many emotions from sitting on the bleachers to dancing in the rain in your best dress. Each photo captured what each song conveyed on the album, which was something we definitely appreciated. This was a sign of things to come for the superstar, and we were in love.
1989 / 2014
When we saw the 1989 photoshoot, our jaws dropped. We were so happy for the joy that was written on Swift’s face. Each image captures a different side of Swift that we may have never seen before in previous shoots. While some songs are filled with pain and anxiety, her joy conquers it all. It’s a beautiful shoot and one that is in the book for one of the best.
Speak Now / 2010
Speak Now was the most magical era we have ever experienced with Swift. The photos even prove it to be true. From the wedding where Swift stands up to the magical purple dress that describes how we feel about “Enchanted” made this second to the best photoshoot of Swift’s career. We’re wonderstruck!
Red / 2012
Maybe other Swifties won’t agree with us, but the Red photoshoot was hands down our favorite. So many emotions and stories were captured in these photos, making us relate to everything on this album. Perhaps, it’s the album itself that has sold us but we don’t care. We’re in love with this shoot and the raw emotion it brings to life.
