You might want a ‘Sick Note’ to get out of class so you can binge watch Rupert Grint’s new show! Get all the details about it here!

Daniel Glass gets diagnosed with a fatal disease, only to find out it was a mistake. But he’s already told people and has noticed the difference in how they treat him. So now, he has a life changing decision to make, does he tell everyone about the misdiagnosis? Or does he continue letting them think he is on the brink of death?

In case you didn’t guess, Rupert Grint is our Sick Note‘s Daniel Glass. We also have the hilariously talented Nick Frost joining him as a main. The series has already been picked up for a second season on Sky Atlantic. You got it! It’s been picked up for a second season before the first one has even aired! That’s pretty impressive if you ask me. If you didn’t, well hey, free opinions handed out here!

Other cast

If Nick Frost is ringing a bell, but you can’t quite put your finger on why, point no further! I am here to help you out. He got his start a bit before it, but Shaun of the Dead really helped make a name for him. He acted alongside real life friend Simon Pegg. The two united once again for Hot Fuzz. They got together a third time for the alien comedy, Paul.

We also have the privilege of seeing Don Johnson join the TV screen. This one should definitely be familiar, he’s a regular household name! He played in a wide variety of movies before making a name for himself on Miami Vice as Detective James Crockett. He eventually moved on and did another handful of movies before doing another long stint on Nash Bridges as the title character.

To round it out, Lindsay Lohan will be joining the cast in the second season. If this one isn’t familiar, you probably don’t own a television. Or any electronic device. But out of fairness, here’s a refresher. Lindsay Lohan got her big start playing two roles in the same movie as a little girl, a remake of The Parent Trap. She made her way to Disney and did a handful of movies under their name as well. Lindsay Lohan also made a name for herself in the singing industry. She’s been off the radar for a while, so it will be interesting to see her on the screen once again!

How to watch

Since the show is fairly new, there isn’t an exact premiere date yet. But it will be on Sky Atlantic which is in the UK. It will be released some time in the Fall of 2017, but again, in the UK. There hasn’t been any news on whether or not it will be released in the US. So we will have to keep our fingers crossed on that one!
