Will today come to an end without a new Taylor Swift album? Most likely, yes.

According to a new report, the latest album theory suggested Swift could be planning to release her sixth studio album on June 13, but so far, no album has been shared.

“It makes sense because June is the sixth month of the year and this would be Swift’s sixth album, and 13 because it’s her favorite number,” Mic revealed to readers on June 13.

That said, there are plenty of reasons why fans likely won’t be hearing any new songs from Swift until later this year.

Ed Sheeran previously suggested Taylor Swift’s album wouldn’t be released until later this year

“Taylor isn’t going to be releasing until probably the end of this year,” Sheeran revealed during an interview with BBC News earlier this year. “Christmas is the smartest time to release because that’s when everyone buys records. So I’ve got a full year of just all Ed, all the time.”

An unnamed source said Taylor Swift was hoping for a fall release date

According to a report weeks ago, Swift has been taking a break from the spotlight as she tends to her upcoming music.

“She was trying to keep herself out of the media,” a Swift insider explained to Us Weekly in May. “Taylor’s been quietly recording new music for a couple of months… She’s aiming to release an album this fall.”

As the insider explained, Swift had been keeping a low profile and only worked in small-scale studios, rather than the bigger studios in Nashville, New York, L.A. or London.

Taylor Swift is releasing another pop album

As for what fans can expect, the source went on to reveal that Swift’s new album would be pop.

“She’s continuing down the pop route because 1989 was a huge success and fans really gravitated toward that album,” the source said. “She knows there’s a demand for a new album and has really started focusing on making that happen for fans. She’s just excited to get back out there.”
