Harry Potter is beloved by many and now there is a prequel story that was stolen and J.K Rowling is urging people to not purchase it.

There is a prequel story to the Harry Potter series we know and love out there. And it isn’t just Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. For those who don’t know, Rowling wrote an 800 word short-story set before Harry was born.

The worst part? It focuses on James Potter and Harry’s Godfather Sirius Black. That’s right folks. All of us out there who have been waiting forever for a glimpse of a series to the Marauders, this thief has it before we do.

According to io9, it wasn’t the only thing that was taken.

"The manuscript was stolen, along with some jewelry, sometime between April 13 and 24. Digpal, who admitted he’s only read one of the Harry Potter books, told the BBC he was worried it would be sold again on the black market, unless it was destroyed because they were unaware of its value."

But now here is my fear: that it will be destroyed. As someone who has waited years for a glimpse into the friendship of James and Sirius, I’d personally be devastated if it never saw the light of day. The fact that it even exists is amazing and now the fear that it’ll never be seen is almost too much.

Apparently the story focuses on James and Sirius when they were younger when they have a run in with muggle police officers. And you just know that it’d be perfect.

Next: J.K Rowling isn’t completely fearless and she admitted so in a tweet

To whoever stole it: return it. But if you won’t, please don’t ruin this story for actual fans because you want money. It’s not fair to us and while you did steal something so your level of care is probably low, please don’t hurt us all like this.
