Guardians of the Galaxy’s Cutest Merch is This Purse

Although it isn’t explicitly meant to tie into Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, the timing of the release of this purse and its design suggests otherwise.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has a late spring release, as opposed to the first movie’s summer debut. The film might retain the bright colors of its predecessor in marketing materials (and one need not look further than the poster), but that doesn’t mean associated purses have to adhere to the same idea.

We say this because this Groot tote is possibly the furthest thing from what you’d expect it to be. Fashionably Geek calls it “lovely,” but we prefer the term adorable.

The flower crown trend may no longer be what it once was. However, Groot (and, remember, Vin Diesel voices Groot) wears a flower crown when Groot pleases. Need we say more? Perhaps “I am Groot” will suffice. Groot will simply be Groot. We all just have to accept that. Presumably everyone will have no trouble accepting this purse.

Like the tote, it’s made out of canvas and faux leather, making it an excellent choice for spring and going into summer, and also, of course, when you arrive at a screening of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, should you be going to see it in theaters. (We don’t judge if you can’t.)

But, if neither option fits your current needs, Fashionably Geek has found a third size on Box Lunch. It doesn’t appear to have a listing on Loungefly’s own website. However, it’s a crossbody style, with the usual detachable strap to convert it into a regular purse. That basically puts it in between the wallet and the tote, and so if you want to show off the style, but don’t think you could fill a tote, this may be your option.
