Could Tormund Giantsbane and Lyanna Mormont from Game of Thrones be related?

Guard your loins Game of Thrones fans. We have another paternity theory between two fan favorites. Could Tormund be Lyanna Mormont’s father?

Just when you think Game of Thrones has no more paternity theories left to explore, up comes another one. While we’re hesitant to go down this rabbit hole, but we have to say YouTuber Alt Shift X makes a pretty convincing argument.

If you strictly watch the television show, you can still follow along with Alt Shift X theory. He lays out a clear case how a woman of noble birth could have shacked up with a wildling such as Tormund Giantsbane?

You have to admit YouTuber Alt Shift X theory is plausible and not as weak as the Dorne storyline. As a Game of Thrones book reader, you have to begin to wonder if this is true. If this is the case that Tormund is the father of Lyanna or at the very least step-father do you think the show will jump on the bandwagon?

Even if there’s a remote chance Tormund is the father there’s no real time for the show to dive into this paternity issue even if the fans want it. We essentially have one full season split into two. At this point, if it’s not marching us to the impending war with the White Walkers, it’s not going to happen.

Since we won’t probably get the Tormund and Lyanna family reunion we would all love, here’s a lovely picture of them together.

Let’s be honest; We will take any reason to have actors Bella Ramsey (Lyanna Mormont) and Kristofer Hivju (Tormund Giantsbane) on the screen. If we have to have a mini episode of Maury on Game of Thrones to do it, then Evil Kermit says to do it.
