Chris Craziness: March Madness Round of 64 — Chris Doleman vs. Christina Perri

Next in our version of March Madness, Chris Craziness, an NFL Hall of Famer and a singer square off in the hopes of advancing to the next round.

Chris Craziness has already seen four more famous people named some variation of Chris advance to the round of 32. Winners from the last four matches include none other than Kris Jenner as well as Christina Hendricks alongside more conventionally-named Chrises like Christopher Plummer. Their places in the round of 32 are secure. The places of the following two Chrises are not — and to be more accurate, there’s only one spot available.

Christina Perri (Singer)

Christina Perri’s career didn’t stop after “Jar of Hearts” six years ago. (Really, we should have put that music video up top, but we favor going for more recent things. However, if you still remember the words, don’t let us stop you.) Anyway, Perri’s a singer, obviously, who hasn’t released a new album since head or heart in 2014, which features “Burning Gold.” However, she maintains an active presence on social media, as also noted on her website. Will that and the fact that her career is more recent push her past her opponent?

Chris Doleman (NFL Hall of Famer)

Chris Doleman is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and per his biography, he spent the bulk of his career on the Minnesota Vikings before moving to the Atlanta Falcons and then the San Francisco 49ers. Finally, he returned to the Vikings for his final season. By the way, over that career, he racked up 150.5 sacks, eight Pro Bowls, three berths on the All-Pro first teams, and a membership on the All-Decade Team of the 1990s. Basically, he was a seriously good defensive end (even though the biography mentions he was actually drafted to a linebacker. Talk about finding your fit!). But will he advance?
