Chris Craziness: March Madness Round of 64 – Chris Tucker vs. Chris Weidman

facebooktwitterreddit

For our next round of Chris Craziness, funny man Chris Tucker gets in the ring with, Chris Weidman, someone who has dominated UFC for quite some time.

If I sat down and filled out the Chris Craziness bracket in its entirety, a lot of my assumptions would’ve been wrong. Most likely, that’s why people love March Madness so much — the upsets. Or perhaps, the unpredictability of the tournament. The previous winners of Chris Craziness — all chosen by the voters — have been surprising, to say the least. But we still have plenty more to go. We’re still dwindling down the 64 entrants to get to our No. 1. Which means, the ending is yet to be written and we may witness our very own Cinderella Chris Craziness story.

Chris-erella? Cinderchris? I don’t know, let me work on that.

Anyway, here are the members of Round 4:

Chris Tucker (Actor)

That’s right — you know the man. Chris Tucker, a popular comedian who made himself a household name starring in the Rush Hour films with Jackie Chan, has stepped into the ring. Of course, he also appeared in things like Friday and The Fifth Element. But we all know him primarily as detective James Carter in all three Rush Hour films. Perhaps, Rush Hour (which was been rebooted as a short-lived TV series on CBS) can be considered one of the greatest buddy cop films of late. Though even if you don’t agree, you can’t argue that Chris Tucker’s antics were absolutely hilarious in those films.

Chris Weidman (MMA)

Ah, yes. An actual fighter. A man, who by many accounts, is one of the better fighters in the league. In 2013, Weidman proved that you can do anything that you put your back into. That was the year he dethroned Anderson Silva as the UFC middleweight champ and took the title for himself. And he held onto it for two years. In his first defeat of his career, Luke Rockhold took the title, but Weidman continues to push onwards. You can catch Weidman in his next fight on April 8, when he faces Gegard Mousasi.

Will he beat Mousasi? More importantly, will he advance to the next round of Chris Craziness? It’s up to you to decide.
