Chris Craziness: March Madness Round of 64 – Chris Pratt vs. Chris Martin
By Buckie Wells
To kick off the first round of Chris Craziness, today’s match up is between Starlord himself, Chris Pratt, and Coldplay’s frontman, Chris Martin.
Yes, we’ve succumbed to March Madness, but here at Culturess, we always give a little bit more flare to our sports coverage. With that understanding, we’ve taken the iconic college basketball bracket and given it a beautiful makeover, which resulted in Chris Craziness. As the name suggests, we chose 64 folks named Chris from all corners of the entertainment, sports or pop culture world and given them a chance in the ring. Each day, we’ll open the floor to voting and watch as the best Chris inches toward the win.
So here are the contenders of Round 1:

Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World)
A lot of us know Chris Pratt for several different things. He’s the lovable next door neighbor who became famous for his alleged immunity to bees on Parks and Recreation as Andy Dwyer. Then, he skyrocketed to fame, with thanks due entirely to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Who knew that an awesome mixtape and a red leather jacket could turn Anna Faris’ husband into a megastar? Sure, he’s recently faced some problematic headlines. But let’s not forget that Chris Pratt rode a motorcycle alongside some raptors in Jurassic World and didn’t look like a total douchebag doing it. There’s an aspect of genuine charm to his backwoods ruggedness that will likely carry this Chris very far in the craziness.

Chris Martin (Musician, Coldplay)
Even if you wouldn’t necessarily call yourself a Coldplay fan, you know their music. You at least remember the Super Bowl halftime show that they totally ruined by inserting themselves in the middle of a performance between Bruno Mars and Beyonce. Still, Chris Martin is a rather charismatic musician. And, of course, that’s in spite of the fact that he was happier being Mr. GOOP instead of making music for a second there. When I watch Chris Martin in interviews, I’m actually pleasantly surprised by how self-aware he is. Further, he seems to have a good sense of humor. Combined with the lovely English accent, don’t be surprised if his charisma sees this Chris get pretty far in the bracket as well.
I mean, if you love him, won’t you let him know? To do so, you gotta vote.
Now vote!
