Are you ready for March Madness? The Kansas Jayhawks have picked up the #1 seed in the Midwest region. Here is their run up to the NCAA Tournament…

March Madness is underway. The Kansas Jayhawks are one of the leading teams that everyone is projecting to either make it into the Final Four, or flop out in an upset. Actually, they’ve been projected to possibly take home the championship by some enthusiasts. Why such the toss-up?Here’s a little information about their journey this season, and NCAA Tournament history to go off of.

The real information to go by is how the current Jayhawks team has faired this season. Their record for this season is 28-4. However, they did lose their opening game for the Big 12 Tournament, but this didn’t stop them from pushing on afterwards and winning the Big 12 Championship. Aside from those numbers, CBS Sports reports that they have the right mix of coach and leader to win it all…

"Why Kansas might win it all: The Jayhawks check every box. They have a future Hall of Fame coach in Bill Self, a legitimate National Player of the Year candidate in Frank Mason, a projected lottery pick in Josh Jackson — plus great guard play in general, experience, toughness, a winning pedigree … everything."

This doesn’t change the fact that they have won the Big 12 for thirteen consecutive years in a row, and have locked in the No. 1 seed in the Midwest. The Jayhawks have made a whopping 45 tournament appearances. Which is more than any of the other three teams, holding the coveted #1 seed for their division. They have made it to fourteen Final Fours, and have won three championships. Last year they went down to Villanova in the Elite Eight, so what’s stopping this from happening again?
