Legion Season One Episode Six Recap: Chapter Six

This week’s episode of Legion comes after the news of the show getting a second season and fans couldn’t be more excited to see the show grow!

Legion had quite the episode this week. With most of the crew stuck in David’s mind in an asylum, we got to see what it would be like if they really were just people with mental disorders in an insane asylum.

While an amazing concept, the episode did get a little confusing at moments but that’s what we’ve come to expect from Legion. And overall, the episode was pretty amazing.

Psychiatrist Lenny

For those who love Aubrey Plaza, this role is something amazing for us all. And seeing Lenny take on being the psychiatrist for everyone in the asylum was a cool twist to her character. It also helped that she had an amazing seen where she danced around to “Feeling Good” in David’s mind.

The scene was pretty hot if you ask me and was literally just Aubrey rolling around the entire time.

Cherry Pie

It seems as if David and Ptonomy and Melanie are all content with just existing in the asylum. Syd however feels differently. For David and Ptonomy, they’re so excited about some cherry pie at lunch. For some reason, David gets none and Syd and Ptonomy get to eat it.

That is until Syd throws her pie across the room because she sees bugs on it. We don’t know what is going on but it is the straw that broke the camel’s back with Syd.

Surrounded by the Other Freaks

Syd and David are still in love in this storyline as well. The two are lying in bed when David admits to willingly wanting to stay in the asylum with Syd forever. When he asks if she would stay there for him, she doesn’t answer.

Instead, Syd eventually learns why they are all trapped in David’s mind. She may not realize what is happening, but she sees the reality that got them there.

Kerry/Cary

Once again, Kerry/Cary has some of the best storylines on the show. The two are just friends who truly understand each other in this alternative state of mind. But they have a close relationship because of their reality.

And that means that they have a sweet moment when Kerry gets scared and knocks on the wall to have Cary help calm her. That is until he vanishes because of Oliver Bird.

Everyone is Disappearing

Olivier Bird is selecting everyone and pulling them into a mix of reality and another place in David’s mind. First he takes Cary and then he makes Melanie try and figure out how to save David and Syd from the bullets heading towards them in reality.

Well, at least, that’s what we think until we learn the truth about Lenny and then see that Cary is the one collecting everyone in Bird’s suit. And in case you forgot, Lenny is a virus trying to take over David’s body who knows who his father is. She also definitely gave us a clue if you didn’t already know.
