Who is Teri Hatcher playing on Supergirl? Here’s what to expect

The CW picked up Teri Hatcher to play a villainous character on Supergirl and we’ve got of an idea how ‘amazing’ she’s really going to be.

The CW recently announced that Teri Hatcher will appear on Supergirl later this season. For anyone who’s a fan of Super-series, Hatcher is a familiar face. She appeared as Lois Lane in the ’90s series Lois and Clark alongside Dean Cain (who returned to the series last night).

So far, we know that she’ll be playing a villainous character. Plus, we’ve seen a sneak peek at some of the battle armor she’ll be sporting.

(This looks awesome.)

Of course, the rumor currently circulating is that she’ll be playing the queen of Daxam opposite Kevin Sorbo. Honestly, I think that’s a really great role for her and hope that means she’ll be dragging her son home soon. While Mon-El crashed to Earth at the end of season 1, his character hasn’t really grown into the superhero we were all expecting him to be.

But it also seems like Hatcher won’t be playing any sort of frail or worrisome mother. Instead, Andrew Kreisberg, one of Supergirl‘s executive producers, explained:

"“What’s so amazing is she’s so not playing Lois and she is so not playing kind of any character I’ve ever seen her play before. She’s so not Susan from ‘Desperate housewives’ and she’s really playing something completely different that was in her repertoire of all the things that she’s ever done and she’s doing it amazingly. So it’s really exciting for us because it’s like, you know, usually with some of these things you know it’s like ‘oh it’s just a pale carbon copy or they’re just repeating themselves.’”"

Further, he teased that Hatcher and Cain may share a scene. So that could mean one of two things. First, Hatcher could be another member of Cadmus. Or the alternative idea is that Cadmus wants to capture the Daxamite queen as soon as possible.
