The SAG Awards bring together the best in movies and television, and we’ve got the list of all the 2017 SAG Awards winners right here.
The 23rd Annual SAG Awards aired tonight. Unlike other awards ceremonies, it focuses solely on performers in movies and television. That means you won’t find any sound mixing or directors nominated here.
At the first SAG Awards in 1995, Angela Lansbury said, “I’ve been Elizabeth Taylor’s sister, Spencer Tracy’s mistress, Elvis’ mother and a singing teapot.” Then ended with, “Tonight is dedicated to the art and craft of acting by the people who should know about it: actors. And remember, you’re one too!”
For actors, a nomination or win from the Screen Actors Guild is one of the highest honors they can receive. And on that note, the SAG Awards (and Dolly Parton) awarded Lily Tomlin the Lifetime Achievement Award.
