Who Better to Sing America the Beautiful than the Schuyler Sisters?

The Schuyler Sisters started a revolution. They were part of two of them but recently they took Broadway by storm. And now they’re tackling the Super Bowl.

Every since Hamilton graced our ears, many of us fell in love with the Schuyler sisters. Three powerful women who stood along side the Founding Fathers that many of us had never really learned about. In fact, if you listen to the musical, you discover that without these amazing women, we’d know nothing of Alexander Hamilton and George Washington’s stories. To steal from the musical “They told their story”.

But now the original stars of the hit Broadway musical will join together once more. At this years Superbowl, Renee Elise Goldsberry, Jasmine Cephas Jones, and Phillipa Soo will all sing “America the Beautiful” for the big game, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Honestly, I might just tune into the Super Bowl now knowing that these three will be performing. For those who don’t know anything about the musical or these three ladies, below is their performance from Hamilton at the White House. The cast was able to go to Washington D.C and sing for President Obama. The president was a huge supporter of the musical and so they took it to the White House to give a special performance.

The Super Bowl is going to be pretty amazing this year based on the performances alone. Lady Gaga was a great choice and now the Schuyler sisters? It is going to have fans of the musical watching and honestly, I don’t think many of us are big football nerds.
