The Hogwarts teams aren’t the only Quidditch stars, there’s a vast network of talented athletes worldwide! Pottermore lined up a few lesser-known regional teams that need your support.
Quidditch is a wizard’s game that’s been around for centuries. It’s taken a while for it to evolve into the sport we know and love today. But if you’re a fair-weather fan or just haven’t found “your team” yet, Pottermore lined up a few British and Irish teams that could use a new loyal fan. And sorry, Ron, the Chudley Cannons aren’t on the list.

The Holyhead Harpies
This is a team of girl power. Hailing from Wales, these dark green and gold lady birds are part of the second oldest team in the British and Irish Quidditch League. Founded in 1203, they are unique as they only add ladies to their roster. The team’s longtime captain Gwenog Jones was a sort of hero to Ginny Weasley, making her addition to the professional team all the more cathartic.
The Montrose Magpies
Donning black and silver robes, these guys are actually the most successful team in the entire league. They’ve won the League Cup a whopping 32 times, and snagged the European Cup twice. But as it turns out, their luck hasn’t been so great recently. In the 90s, one of the managers tried employing Muggle football/soccer techniques into the airborne broom game. They lost a big match when the Snitch was actually kicked at their Seeker. Some things just weren’t meant to mesh.
The Appleby Arrows
This team comes from Northern England, and has a particularly nasty rivalry with the Wimbourne Wasps. The Arrows wear pale blue robes with giant silver arrows emblazoned on them. Back in the late 1890s, fans would shoot arrows into the air every time an Arrow Chaser scored, but this stopped after a referee got an accidental nose piercing. This is a very solid team, whose big claim to fame is from 1932, when they defeated European team the Vratsa Vultures after 16 grueling days of gameplay.
