Outlander Season 3 Claire and Jamie Reunion Photos from the Set Are Here

If the Outlander sweep at the People’s Choice Awards didn’t get you excited about Season 3 then how about reunion picture from the set.

Outlander fans this is not a drill. The cast and crew have been hard at work filming Outlander Season 3. We have pictures from the long awaited Claire and Jamie reunion in Edinburgh. No, they are not pictures of the actual meeting scene in the print shop, but they’re next best thing.

Thanks to some eagle-eyed Outlander fans we have pictures of Claire and Jamie on the set at Edinburgh. If you take a good look at the photos, you will notice something isn’t quite right.

Here’s a very dashing Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) who is in a beautiful blue hat and wool shawl. (Also? Tricornes are totally in for 2017.)

Claire and Jamie Fraser are together again, and it feels so good.

If you haven’t read Diana Gabaldon’s Voyager, then you might miss what is so strange about Claire and Jamie’s appearance in the photos.

In the third installment, Claire time travels back to Jamie when she finds out he survived the Battle of Culloden. But time has passed since the last time Claire saw Jamie. Like twenty years have passed, but Claire and Jamie don’t look like they have aged a day.

You would think the Outlander makeup department would have aged them slightly since so much time has passed. It begs the question: what exactly *is* the plan for Outlander Season 3. Does this mean the show is not going to follow the same timeline in the books? Are they recording flashbacks or is the aging process going to be done in post-production?

We don’t have any concrete answers right now, but it’s just nice to see Claire and Jamie together again.
