Tina and Queenie Goldstein seemed to be polar opposites. One’s a hardened ex-auror, the other a girly girl mindreader. Both are incredibly powerful and strong women.
Femininity comes in all shapes and sizes. We as women are given the opportunity to be whomever we want without anyone telling us what to do. This kind of dynamic is plainly seen when we look at the Goldstein sisters from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Tina and Queenie couldn’t have been more opposite from one another, but their individual femininity shines in its own way.

Our friends over at MuggleNet.com claim that people seemed to prefer Queenie over Tina in a direct comparison with one another. While we understand this sentiment (since our first impression of Tina was that she was kind of cold), we should try and steer clear of pitting any woman against one another. These two ladies are as individualistic as you can get, and their femininity just manifests itself in different ways.
Strong Sisters
Tina (Katherine Waterston) is a hard-working ex-auror who stands on the side of justice. A woman like Tina can come off sort of cold and unfeeling, but she’s probably one of the most emotionally strong characters of them all. She doesn’t put as much effort into her physical appearance as her sister, but that’s because she doesn’t need to. There’s far too many other things she’s concentrating on. She has her own walk in life and takes pride in her strength, which are admirable qualities.
Queenie (Alison Sudol) is the kind of woman who always looks pretty, but don’t let her flinty voice fool you. She’s no dummy. Her strengths lie within her powerful Legilimency skills, which she uses in a way that’s not taking advantage of anyone. She also knows she’s attractive, but never shoves it in anyone’s face. Queenie enjoys life and the people in it, she just likes to look good while doing it.

The Goldstein sisters obviously have a good relationship (they live together) but can also stand on their own as individuals. We’re very interested in seeing how these characters develop as we patiently wait for more Fantastic Beasts movies. We’re sure to find even more layers to these already strong, dynamic women.
