Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and his Stranger Things Dream

Stranger Things is the new hot show that everyone is talking about and when Nikolaj Coster-Waldau photobombed the cast, fans got thinking about a crossover.

The Golden Globes were last night and it seems like Nikolaj Coster-Waldau had quite the exciting evening. For the first time in quite a while, Game of Thrones didn’t take home any wins but that didn’t mean the star couldn’t have a bit of fun. Mainly with the cast of the hit show Stranger Things.

This year, Netflix released Stranger Things and everyone couldn’t stop talking about the 80s horror themed hit. And it seems like Nikolaj may have caught the bug too. Or maybe he just likes a good photobomb.

No matter why he did it, Nikolaj’s actions have made us decide to write the fanfiction no one knew they needed: Closet Stranger Things fan Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and his attempt at a crossover event.

Nikolaj had a moment of clarity when he saw the boys from Stranger Things posing for a photograph. This could be his moment. If he got fans thinking of him on the show, then Netflix would have to make it happen. Right? They’d have to make Jamie somehow end up in the Upsidedown. After all, a demogorgon would be cake after surviving King’s Landing all these years.

Or maybe he as Nikolaj could just be on it. Whatever they wanted, as long as he got to explore the world with Will, Mike, Eleven, Dustin, and Lucas. He’d even pretend to be someone’s dad. There had to be some way to make him look like Dustin. And let’s face it, it would be a hell of a lot safer to be in Hawkins, Indiana than facing down three dragons.

So when the photographer clicked his camera, Nikolaj knew his work was done. Now, he just needed his fans to make it happen. Westeros today, the Upsidedown tomorrow. And safely away from Cersei.

Game of Thrones and Stranger Things both are returning to us in 2017. Honestly, it’s going to be quite the exciting year in television.
