New Justice League Photo Has an Unrecognizable Wonder Woman

An official Justice League promotional photo has dropped, and we can’t help but think something is terribly off with Wonder Woman’s face.

The much-anticipated Justice League movie is set to premiere in theaters Nov. 17, 2017, so it’s about we see some promotional photos all together. USA Today recently released a fresh one. At first glance, people were cheering. When you started zooming in closer to the faces of Batman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Flash and Aquaman, though, you can see that there is a huge problem: Wonder Woman looks nothing like actress Gal Gadot. Not even a little bit like her.

Take a look at the photos below and tell me I’m wrong.

See what I’m talking about? It barely resembles the beautiful Gal Gadot. I know, because I have spent hours looking her face in the Wonder Woman trailer. She obviously has an oval shaped face, but in the Justice League photo, it shows her with a more masculine square jaw line. It’s a jaw that could carve wood. It makes one wonder if this is actually Gal Gadot’s stand in for Justice League or if it’s just another spectacular Photoshop fail. I’m going with the latter.

I don’t have a problem with a little Photoshop, but when the person looks like an entirely different person, we have to say enough. Gadot is not the comic book version of Wonder Woman, so stop changing her face to fit a mold you’re comfortable with. She is ours, and she can be feminine and powerful without masculine facial features. Let’s hope the PR folks at DC get the message from fans that we don’t want to see more of the overworked Photoshop promo art for Wonder Woman.
