Brie Bella and Daniel Bryan are expecting their first child! Will they have a Baby Bella… Or a Boy YES! Champ?
Wrestling A-list couple Brie Bella and Daniel Bryan (real name Bryan Danielson) broke the news to E! News within hours of the series premiere of their new spin off reality show Total Bellas. The WWE couple are expecting. Brie said “It has always been a dream of mine to become a mother. Now that it is finally real, it fills me up with so much happiness. I can’t wait to see my husband, Bryan, be a father to our child. I am so excited for this new chapter in our lives.”
For those just tuning into the running soap opera that is “professional wrestling,” this is what Brie Bella has wanted ever since marrying fellow wrestler Daniel Bryan in 2014. She has brought up how much she wanted a family several times leading up to her retirement from WWE. This made it evident that Brie’s plan was to get started on building a family with Daniel quickly upon her upcoming retirement. That is… despite her twin sister’s pouting about keeping the Bella Twins a team on the WWE roster.
Nikki Bella, who returned to the WWE recently after recovering from a neck injury, has been a little upset over the idea of her sister giving up her career for family life since last year. She expressed her opinion on The Bella Twins being broken up several times on the last couple of seasons on their other reality spin off from the WWE, Total Divas. Nikki’s biggest fear was supposedly carrying on the “Bella Brand” as a solo act, but she seems to be handling just fine since her recent return.
Daniel Bryan added his own thoughts during the interview. “We are so excited to be parents. Every time I look at Brie’s stomach, I’m amazed that there is a little life in there”. It’s obvious that the happy couple is just, ecstatic about the expected “baby Bella”, or “boy YES! champ!”
In the blending of reality and what’s known as “wrestling kayfab,” Brie and Daniel have portrayed themselves as facing worries about their future, as Daniel Bryan’s injuries forced him into early retirement. Bryan picked up a couple of jobs with WWE, one was as a commentator for the “CruiserWeight Classic tournament”, which just recently ended. The other is as “the general manager” under Shane McMahon for the SmackDown (Blue) Brand of WWE. The couple looked into various investments and options, as Brie continued to push to get her in-ring days behind her, but it turned out that there was no need to worry so much. After all, they both have reality starring roles on E! Network. In addition to Total Bellas, which is a reality series focusing just on the twins and their spouses (Nikki is married to WWE superstar and walking action figure John Cena) Total Divas returns for Season 6 in November. Couple this with Total Bellas, which just began the first season this week, and this obviously squashes all of Brie Bella’s previous worries of facing financial woes following both her and Daniel Bryan’s retirements.
