Former Cast and Crew of ‘Apprentice’ Recall Trump’s History of Sexual Harassment
By April Jones
Former contestants and crew members of Donald Trump’s NBC show The Apprentice recall their experiences on the show, providing numerous accounts of sexist comments and behaviors towards the women working on the show.
Donald Trump’s vile and derogatory remarks towards women have been widely covered. During last week’s presidential debate, Hillary Clinton reminded everyone that Trump had a history of calling women pigs, slobs, and dogs. There have been numerous audio and video clips of him making sexual comments about his own daughter and about Paris Hilton, daughter of his own friends. Trump has frequently made negative comments about women’s weight as well as the sizes of their breasts and butts.
So it’s really not going to come as much of a surprise that several former contestants of The Apprentice have gone on record about Trump’s constant sexual harassment and sexist remarks during filming of the show. Surely we’re all familiar with the comment he made to Celebrity Apprentice contestant Brande Roderick about what a pretty picture it must be to see her drop to her knees.
Now the AP has released information coming from interviews of over 20 people who were associated with The Apprentice, including contestants, crew members, and editors. Although each interview was conducted separately, the individuals all told very similar stories of Trump’s vulgar and inappropriate behavior.

Former crew members recalled Trump’s remarks about a particular camera woman’s derriere, even comparing her attractiveness to that of his own daughter, Ivanka. Katherine Walker, a former producer of the show, stated that Trump had a habit of discussing which women working on the show he’d like to have sex with, speculating on which one might be “a tiger in bed.”
“We were in the boardroom one time figuring out who to blame for the task, and he just stopped in the middle and pointed to someone and said, ‘You’d f—her, wouldn’t you? I’d f—her. C’mon, wouldn’t you?'”
One former crew member, who asked not to be identified by name, talked about Trump’s penchant for polling the male contestants to find out who they would want to go to bed with. “We were in the boardroom one time figuring out who to blame for the task, and he just stopped in the middle and pointed to someone and said, ‘You’d f—her, wouldn’t you? I’d f—her. C’mon, wouldn’t you?'”
Poppy Carlig, a former contestant who Trump once asked to twirl for him, defended Trump in a roundabout way, dismissing his remarks as “playful banter,” adding that he didn’t have any “bad intentions.” Sh
e stated that she saw no problem in his comment that she reminds him of his daughter because she knows he values his family. Yes, it’s very clear how fond he is of Ivanka.

The Associated Press was unable to obtain a comment from anyone at NBC, the network that aired The Apprentice. As usual, the Trump campaign’s response isn’t a denial of the allegations but rather a personal attack on the messengers. Campaign spokesperson Hope Hicks stated “These outlandish, unsubstantiated, and totally false claims fabricated by publicity hungry, opportunistic, disgruntled former employees, have no merit whatsoever.”
