A new year means a fresh start and usually, a new planner. Most people typically head out to Michael’s for a new planner.
Even if you’re not looking for a planner, Michael’s has a ton of great products. Whether you’re looking to change around the house, want to find something to entertain you, or need something to put that finishing touch on your table, you can’t go wrong.
On New Year’s Day though, things can be a bit iffy. While some people are celebrating by eating pork and sauerkraut, others are planning out a shopping trip to help start off the year by spending a little bit of cash.

For New Year’s Day, many stores are open during their regular hours, but Michael’s is reportedly going to be open for limited hours. According to a post from The Krazy Koupon Lady, the retail chain is going to be open but likely won’t be at the regular hours we’re accustomed to. At least, that’s something to go off of.
Your best bet is to either look up the hours before you head out or just call the store. While I’m sure some people will be out shopping for the new year, I’m sure a lot of us will be bundled up at home, just having a relaxing day. Regardless, at least you’ll know Michael’s will be open in some capacity to take care of all of your crafting needs.
Plus now is an excellent time to go out and buy that planner, bullet journal, or organizer you’ve been waiting for the new year. Michael’s usually has such awesome deals no matter what the season is so you’re bound to find something for yourself or someone on your list.
