Will CVS Pharmacy be open on New Year’s Day?
With it being New Year’s Day, and most people peeling themselves off the floor after the night before, you may find it surprising that some people are still going shopping, or need to get groceries despite the holidays. After all, some don’t believe in taking it easy, despite it being a federal holiday.
And yes, New Year’s Day is a federal holiday, which means some places will be closed, or have reduced hours. Places like banks, mail deliveries, and other similar services are going to be closed for the day.
So if you’re running errands and your local Target or grocery store is closed, or you’re just looking for a less crowded store, you may want to pop by CVS Pharmacy to pick up things from your shopping list. But will they be open?
As with most stores on the day, CVS will in fact be open, so if you’re needing some last-minute cleaning supplies or you need something to help fight off a cold, then CVS is a place for you to go.
What are the hours of operation for CVS on New Year’s Day?
So you’ve peeled yourself off the floor, congratulations, it only took half the day. Now that you’re up and ready to get the day started, it’s off to CVS but are you too late? After all, it is a federal holiday (not if anyone’s told you that before), so a lot of places close early on Jan. 1
That said if you’re heading to CVS and afraid they have adjusted hours as so many other places do, you don’t need to fret. Your local CVS will be open during your normal hours of service. So if yours is a store that stays open until 10 PM local time, that’s the time it’ll be open to. If it’s a 24-hour store, it’ll remain 24 hours on Jan. 1
