Putting the final touches on your Thanksgiving meal and realizing you miscalculated the number of place settings you need for the table, or perhaps you’re just now realizing you don’t have the correct tools for your signature dish?

Don’t fret, we’ve all been there at some point! After all, the holidays are always a hectic time of the year and it’s easy to forget something on your list leading to the need for a trip to JCPenney.

On a normal day, we’d tend to head out the door without any thought. However, the holidays are a bit unique in that not every store is open and those that do remain open tend to keep shorter hours. Because of this, it never hurts to hit up Google before leaving the house to make sure your local stores are actually open before you head out. After all, there’s nothing worse than a wasted trip.

If you’re hoping to make a trip out to your JCPenney to do some last-minute Thanksgiving day prep shopping, we have some bad news for you: JCPenney stores across the US will not be open on Thursday, Nov. 24 due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

While some stores have decided to keep their doors open on Thanksgiving, most stores have decided to close for the holiday including JCPenney. While it might be inconvenient, I think we can celebrate the decision of more and more stores to close for the holiday so that their employees can also enjoy the day with loved ones instead of at work.
