Is Big Brother new tonight on CBS? (July 7, 2022)

On Wednesday night, summer officially kicked off for Big Brother fans with the premiere of the new season!

In a special 90-minute premiere episode, the season’s 16 new houseguests moved into the Big Brother house to begin their battle for the $750,000 grand prize. Like most premiere episodes, the first episode of season 24 not only introduced us to the season’s houseguests but we also saw the first HOH crowned in an epic battle for power and were introduced to the season’s first big twist.

The episode was everything we hoped it would be and more, and it most certainly left us wanting more! Given most seasons typically start with a 2-night premiere, are we in store for another new episode this Thursday evening, or is CBS shaking things up this year?

Is there a new episode of Big Brother tonight? (July 7, 2022)

Although CBS traditionally kicks off new seasons of Big Brother with 2-night premiere events, the network is shaking things up this year and won’t be airing a new episode this Thursday night. Instead, CBS will be airing comedy reruns during its primetime slate instead of the second episode of Big Brother season 24.

It’s interesting to see CBS opting not to air a new episode on July 7 during the show’s normal Thursday night time slot, but alas there will not be a new episode to enjoy this evening. Instead, we’ll have to wait until Sunday, July 10 for the second hour of the season to air on CBS.
