PlayStation Plus subscribers have a quieter month of games for July, but that’s not necessarily a drawback. Plus Sony announced that one of June’s offeringsVirtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown, will be available through August 5th!

Below are your free games for the month of July:

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 4
  • WWE 2K Battlegrounds

Here’s the official announcement trailer from Sony:

If you’re the proud owner of a PlayStation 5, you’ll also have access to A Plague Tale: Innocence. The upgraded version was announced at this year’s E3 (alongside the announcement of the sequel, out next year). This upgraded version includes 60 FPS, “highly improved visuals,” and faster load times. Set during the Hundred Years’ War, you follow two siblings who are being chased by the Inquisition.

A Plague’s Tale: Innocence is a really good game, so if you happen to have a PS5, give it a download. And… unfortunately, it’s probably the best offering of the month. Sorry, non-PS5 owners.

First up in the general offerings is Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Unfortunately this is the COD game that doesn’t have a traditional campaign/single player mode. However, you can still play online multiplayer and the Blackout mode as well.

There are also Solo Missions you can play in the game that focus more on different aspects of the multiplayer modes. If you’re a Call of Duty fan and don’t already have this game, you’ll want to download it.

Second for the month is WWE 2K Battlegrounds, which is an arcade-style brawler in the series. Honestly, the reviews for this one aren’t great. It was released kind of as an interim game while developers figured out what future games would look like. But it really plays more like a party game that’s fun for an hour on New Year’s Eve and then you forget about it.

One of the good things going for WWE 2K Battlegrounds is that it’s a very intuitive game. There’s no lengthy introduction area where you have to remember combos of buttons to pull off moves. It makes it a very approachable game for any level of gamer.

All three of these games will be available to download starting July 6th while Virtua Fighter 5 is already available.
