Netflix has a massive list of movies to choose from, but if you’re looking for a good Hallmark mystery, you won’t find it on the popular streaming site. Hallmark Movies and Mysteries are exclusive to the Crown Media family of channels, which means you can only find their original content on their channels.

Hallmark Movies and Mysteries is home to Hallmark’s ever-growing library of original mysteries, and during the day it’s also home to reruns of Murder She Wrote.

Hallmark has its own publishing company that focuses on brand-friendly romance and mysteries, which also supplies their production team with an endless supply of potential movies to produce.

Hallmark Movie and Mysteries are not available on Netflix

When Netflix arrived on the streaming scene they had their pick of content because they were the biggest streamer and their reach was unparalleled. Now, though, studios and networks have realized the potential in having their own streaming service and that’s why they don’t share content with Netflix.

While Hallmark Movies and Mysteries keeps its content within its own service, Netflix is developing its own brand of original romance movies and mysteries so that it can draw Hallmark fans in. Essentially, it has become a competition for viewer eyeballs, but Hallmark seems to be holding strong despite competition from the big streamers.

Hallmark also offers its own streaming service, Hallmark Movies Now. Subscribers have the option of paying $4.99 per month, billed yearly at $59.99, or $5.99 per month. The upside is that both options offer commercial free content so the only difference between the two payment options is how you want to pay.

These days it feels like every network has its own streaming service, and Hallmark is no different. However, knowing that you can access all of their original movies in one place without a cable subscription is a nice touch.
