April 2021 release: Victories Greater Than Death – Charlie Jane Anders

Victories Greater Than Death is international bestselling author Charlie Jane Anders’ highly anticipated YA debut, and it certainly sounds like the book is going to be more than worth the wait.

Described as Star Wars meets Doctor Who, the story is a thrilling adventure set against an intergalactic war. It centers on Tina, a human clone of a legendary galactic hero who can’t wait for the rescue beacon in her chest to activate so her life can begin. But when it does, it also heralds the start of a potentially deadly conflict – one in which it’s up to her to save the world.

The official synopsis describes the story as follows.

"Tina has always known her destiny is outside the norm—after all, she is the human clone of the most brilliant alien commander in all the galaxies (even if the rest of the world is still deciding whether aliens exist). But she is tired of waiting for her life to begin. And then it does—and maybe Tina should have been more prepared. At least she has a crew around her that she can trust—and her best friend at her side. Now, they just have to save the world. Victories Greater Than Death is available on April 13."
