The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

Another MCU series that was meant to debut in 2020, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is now heading to Disney+ on March 19. Following Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes as they navigate the post-Endgame world, this show is poised to set the stage for Phase 4 of the MCU, which will see the Avengers team led by a new generation of heroes.

And Sam Wilson should be the one to lead that charge after Steve Rogers left him his shield — and Captain America’s legacy — in the hopes that he’d pick up the mantle. Judging by the first footage of the series, however, not everyone is on board to have Falcon become the new Captain America. But that’s just another obstacle our heroes will need to face in this new era of the MCU.

Not only will Falcon and the Winter Soldier set the stage for the franchise’s future, but it’ll give fans a deeper look at characters that were previously relegated to the sidelines. We’re already all about the dynamic between Sam and Bucky, and we can’t wait to see more of their story heading into Phase 4.

Loki

Sam and Bucky may be cleaning up the events of Avengers: Endgame, but it seems Marvel’s god of mischief is capitalizing on them in his upcoming series. That’s right, Loki has cheated death once again, this time thanks to the wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff that happened during the fight against Thanos.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Loki’s life is all fun and games after stealing the Tesseract and traveling through time and space. In fact, the first footage of the Disney+ series sees him coming into contact Marvel’s Time Variance Authority (basically, the time police). Still, we suppose serving time is better than dying — and it does look like Loki is trying to find a way back to his brother and Heimdall, opening up all kinds of possibilities for the future of the Thor franchise.

Loki looks almost as bananas as WandaVision, so Marvel fans are bound to have fun with these series when they finally arrive. Our favorite god of mischief’s story hits Disney+ in May, so luckily, we don’t have too much longer to wait.
